Community Involvement

CREPE’s mission is not only to bring together the Chicago real estate private equity community through networking and thought leadership, but also to provide an outlet for real estate professionals to give back to the local community.  Since 2010, CREPE has been active supporter of local charities as part of a Networking for a Cause initiative.

Some of CREPE’s community involvement initiatives include:

Volunteering and Fundraising – CREPE has been an ongoing supporter of the Greater Chicago Food Depository both through donations and volunteering.  By donating a material portion of proceeds from the regular happy hour networking events, CREPE has raised over $15,000 for the GCFD.

Holiday Toy Drive – CREPE has supported the Boys Girls Club of Chicago during the holidays by being a significant contributor to their holiday toy drive.  For several years running, CREPE has gathered hundreds of toys from 25-30 participating firms to help support Chicago families in need.

Holiday Bike Build – In 2015 CREPE raised almost $7,000 to purchase bikes and helmets for underprivileged youth in Chicago. Partnering with Working Bikes, 70 new bikes were built and distributed at their holiday Kids' Bike Sale. The Bike Build was a huge success and CREPE looks forward to participating in the coming years.
